Don't Miss Pasco Hypersil 911 Unlock 80% Savings [5wjWbD2T]

Use Hypersil 911 for: General glazing, weatherproofing construction joints, sealing building cladding, perimeter sealing of windows & doors.

Pasco Hypersil 911 is a high-performance, 100% Neutral Cure Silicone Sealant designed to deliver durable, flexible, and waterproof seals for a wide array of applications in the Australian construction and glazing industries. Formulated for exceptional longevity, Hypersil 911 boasts excellent UV stability and weathering resistance, making it ideal for both internal and external use. Its neutral cure chemistry ensures it will not corrode metals like aluminium or steel and won't react with concrete or masonry substrates, offering superior adhesion across common building materials including glass, metals, concrete, ceramics, and painted surfaces. Offering ±25% joint movement capability and available in an extensive colour range, Hypersil 911 provides a reliable and aesthetic finish for general glazing, curtain walls, construction joints, building cladding, and perimeter sealing tasks.

Primer Information: Hypersil 911 typically exhibits excellent adhesion to clean, dry, sound surfaces without the need for a primer. For critical applications, unusual substrates (like some plastics or stone), or to ensure optimal long-term performance in demanding environments, adhesion testing is always recommended. Contact Adheseal or Pasco technical support if specific surface preparation advice is required.

Cure Time: This sealant forms a skin in approximately 8-10 minutes at 20°C and 50% relative humidity, allowing for tooling shortly after application. Full cure for a 10mm deep joint at 25°C typically takes 5-7 days. Curing relies on atmospheric moisture and will be slower in deeper joints or cooler/drier conditions.

Coverage Rate: Coverage depends on joint dimensions. As a guide, a 300ml cartridge will seal approximately 8.3 linear metres of a 6mm wide x 6mm deep joint, or 3 linear metres of a 10mm wide x 10mm deep joint. Refer to the coverage table in the TDS for estimates based on various joint sizes.

Service Temperature Range: Once fully cured, Hypersil 911 performs reliably across an extremely wide temperature range from -62°C to +170°C, suitable for all Australian climate extremes.

Chemical Properties: As a 100% Neutral Cure Silicone, Hypersil 911 is low odour and non-corrosive. It cures by reacting with atmospheric moisture, releasing Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime (MEKO) during the process (ensure adequate ventilation). It has good resistance to general weathering and water.

Key Features of Pasco Hypersil 911

When to Choose Pasco Hypersil 911 versus Alternatives:

  • Choose Hypersil 911 over Acetoxy Cure Silicone when: Sealing against metals (aluminium, steel), concrete, masonry, or plastics; when low odour is required (internal use); or when improved adhesion to certain substrates is needed.
  • Choose Hypersil 911 over Polyurethane (PU) Sealants when: Superior UV stability is critical for long-term colour and flexibility retention in exposed joints, a wider service temperature range is needed, or paintability is *not* required.
  • Choose Hypersil 911 over Acrylic Sealants when: Joint movement (±25% vs ±10-15%), weather resistance, UV stability, or water resistance are important factors (i.e., virtually all external or demanding internal applications).
  • Consider other options when: The sealant needs to be painted (use paintable PU or Acrylic); for structural glazing applications (use specified structural silicones); for aquariums; for permanent water immersion; for trafficable joints; or for use on polycarbonate (use Pasco Hyperclear).
